Iron Smelting Experiment - 2004

Checking out the position of the tuyere. It is found that the smelter has slumped and dropped the 'hot spot' from its intended 15 cm to a mere 1 cm above the smelter floor.
This image clearly shows the T junction and air pipe. This allows us to have a view port to observe the smelter interior. If required [likely!] the view port unscrews to allow us to probe the interior.
