| It became obvious that the smelter wall just above the tuyere was slowing burning through. An emergency patch of sheet metal was wired to the outside in an attempt to reinforce the area. Working quickly, a scrap piece of 18 gauge steel was shaped and wired to the body of the smelter. Previous
