A look at the full body of the smelting tools. From left to right:
  • Bloom tongs (to remove the bloom & hold it while it is being consolidated)
  • pounder (to perform the preliminary consolidation inside the smelter)
  • coal scoop (to remove charcoal)
  • hook (to pry the bloom)
  • Rake to move the charcoal
  • Radner to clear the tuyure and break the bloom from the smelter
  • small tongs for handling various pieces of bloom
