|Ideas are shot around the group about the slag freezing problem - and what to to about it.|
The concensus is that the low position of the tuyere is causing the liquid slag to pool too high to keep the air blast from being submerged.
Mike suggests a radical (to us) solution - carve out a new hole and reposition the tuyere at what is now the rear wall of the smelter.
